About CGL Foundation
Founded in 2021, The CGL Foundation stands for Community, Growth, Legacy, and Foundation. We are a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the cultural, generational, and economic fabric of Paducah and the surrounding region.
Our mission is to empower residents, youth, and local businesses through equitable development, education, mentorship, and community engagement.
While we’re deeply involved in community revitalization, the CGL Foundation is more than redevelopment. We bring joy, inclusion, and connection to the Paducah through large-scale events like Sundaze in the Park and the Annual Northside vs. Southside Basketball Classic, providing safe, fun spaces for families while tackling issues such as food insecurity by feeding youth throughout the summer.

Through our youth mentorship programs, we guide and support the next generation, helping them find pathways to education, career readiness, and personal growth.
We also partner with organizations such as CCFF (Commonwealth Center for Fathers and Families) to host annual programs providing financial literacy workshops, child support navigation, and support networks for fathers.
Beyond our own programs, we support other community organizations by assisting with marketing, event coordination, and media exposure, amplifying their reach and impact.
By combining revitalization, education, mentorship, and celebration, the CGL Foundation ensures every initiative is inclusive, participatory, and transformative, building a bridge between city efforts, community needs, and the people we serve.

Origin Story
Founded in March 2021, CGL was created to reflect Community, Growth, Legacy, and Foundation.
What started as a summer series (Sundaze in the Park) became a movement rooted in healing and pride. In 2011, Jeffery revived the historic Northside vs. Southside Basketball Classic, now held under the CGL banner, and attended by 1,500+ annually.
These aren’t just events. They’re traditions, touchpoints, and testaments to what’s possible when communities lead with love.
